Our fundamental mission is to better serve the multi-faceted brand, web, and creative needs of small-to-mid-sized organizations on the rise.
It All Started With a Hunch
We were founded in Toronto in early 2018 with two central hypotheses:
1) That some clients in growing organizations have branding and creative needs that the larger agency networks can’t nimbly or cost-effectively serve;
2) That those branding and creative needs span multiple outputs, niches, and considerations, requiring a broader range of expertise.
These core tenets led us to found a new type of agency, going so far as to build this nimble, branding-forward, multi-disciplinary, team-building approach into the very name of the place.
Since hanging our shingle, we’ve worked on brand identities, website builds, brand extensions and toolkits, email marketing strategy & creative, print collateral, social media ads, and a multitude of other brand-building projects — all answering the myriad needs facing today’s marketers who need additional firepower to reach the next level in their organization’s growth.

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
An Art Director by trade, Stuart founded Stack in 2018.
Previously, Stuart worked at AJ&Smart, BBDO, Dare, FCB/SIX, Proximity Canada, Teehan+Lax, Track DDB, Trajectory, and T4G, and his awards shelf includes statues, plaques and pencils from the ADC, Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Webby’s, and many more shows from around the world.
In 2019, he was named one of Canada’s top Creative Directors and Designers by Strategy Magazine. He’s judged the New York Festivals Advertising Awards and the Marketing Awards, and he taught design at Humber College and RED Academy, alongside solo and panel speaking engagements.
Stuart writes regular articles on the marketing, tech, branding, and creative spaces on his personal website, with numerous articles written over the years for Applied Arts.
